Chapter 2 - Mankind's Culture of Conflict

Mankind is experiencing a worrying spread of conflict situations around the world, into which impressionable elements of our youth are being drawn.
One example is the Mujahideen Youth Movement or "Movement of Striving Youth" also known as al-Shabaab, which is a group of Islamic militants, presently fighting to overthrow the government of Somalia.
This chapter focuses upon the growing culture of conflict problem before revealing later how the causes can be identified, addressed and removed from the psyche of future generations.

Pg 8. "We are witnessing the emergence of a violent future generation greatly disadvantaged by the disgraceful legacy of recession, failed education systems and unemployment inherited from their elders.
What type of future leaders will result from this ugly cultural metamorphosis?"

Pg 9. "Mankind is the only life form that possesses the cognitive intelligence, the technology, the physical capability, the communication facilities and organisational skills, to possibly minimise the long term devastating effects of climate change.
It will become increasingly evident that such an enormous campaign of sustainable protection and continuous recovery, will only be attainable if the entire human race unites under a common sense of urgency, of determination and co-operative intention to make it happen.

If the present culture of conflict becomes worse, such a campaign is unlikely to ever come to pass. We need to create a universal culture of understanding that survival of the majority overrules the selfish demands of the few."
Pg 13. "Governments regularly tell their publics that sound economic fundamentals are firmly in place and that growth is assured and, in political parlance, “there will be a better life for all."

"Meanwhile, infrastructure remains un-maintained; roads become increasingly potholed; health and education services decline; energy sources continue to fail; food and other cost of living expenses increase relentlessly and the atmosphere and water resources become increasingly polluted. These failures fertilize the growing conflict of violence."
Pg 15. "Who, at any time in our history, was the planet’s Realty Agent with the power and authority to permit tracts of land and sea to be allocated for selective human ownership?

Who was the planet’s Resources Distribution Authority who permitted select human beings to have exclusive rights to extract or otherwise acquire and process the planet’s entire stock of resource assets?

Seizure of land and assets was all done in the glorious name of conquest and the conquerors claimed exclusive ownership of the spoils."
Pg 16. "My proposed new and greatly improved global monetary system would render it impossible to run into debt or to have poverty thrust upon us. Global poverty, hunger and starvation would be completely eradicated, subject always to possible food security problems caused by the vagaries of climate change conditions."
